Today we will introduce the use of Orange pi in a cool way. It is a smart mirror that can display various information by connecting Orange pi to a monitor and to a 2-sided mirror and displaying various information such as Date time calendar google youtube Telegram etc.. We will teach you how to do it. The equipment that we will use today includes:
- Orange pi
- Sd card
- Monitor
- frame mirror
- 2 way mirror
- HDMI cable
Installation steps
- Prepare the SD card with Armbian OS installed.
- Insert the SD card into the Orange Pi and enable the update to complete the task (there is a tutorial clip in the channel).
- Download and install the latest Node.js version
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_16.x | sudo -E bash -
sudo apt install -y nodejs
- Clone the repository and check out the master branch
git clone https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror
- Open the CMD window and type:
cd MagicMirror/
npm run install-mm
- Copy the config sample file.
cp config/config.js.sample config/config.js
- Start using by typing
npm run start
We will get the result as shown in the picture.
