Connect Wifi to Raspberry Pi without a screen

, by Sukanya Eiampinit, 2 min reading time

How to install Wifi but no screen? No more problems. It's easy for even beginners to do.
Let's do it step by step. If you're ready, let's go!!

Step 1 For those who don't have an OS yet, go download it first.

For those who don't have an OS, go download it first.
https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/operating-systems/

Step 2 balenaEtcher program For installing OS on Mirco SD Card
For those who do not want to download the program, you can access this link and use it.
Or anyone who wants to install it can download it.

Step 3: Insert the Mirco SD Card.

Insert the Micro SD Card into the computer. If you don't have an SD Card slot, you'll need to find a converter. (The Mirco SD Card must have a capacity of at least 4 GB and be Class 10.)

Step 4 Open the balenaEtcher program > Select the downloaded Raspberry Pi OS.
(Mostly located at the Download file. Right-click and extract the downloaded file first.)

Step 5: Select SD Card. Choose carefully. Click Select (don't select the hard disk or you'll lose all your data without even knowing it).

Step 6: Wait for a moment in this step. When you have free time, you can buy other interesting accessories at www.raspberrypithailand.com to kill time.

Step 7: After completion, go to Folder Boot (If on Windows, go to My Com > Folder boot).

Step 8: Create a ssh file without specifying the file extension. Here I use vs code to create the file.

Step 9 Place the ssh file in the boot file.

Step 10 Create a file named wpa_supplicant.conf and write the following code (change it to your own wifi name and wifi password). Then save the file and place it in the boot Folder.

Step 11: Insert the Mirco SD Card into the Raspberry pi and connect the power supply.

Step 12 Scan IP with IP Scanner or Advanced IP Scanner (remember the IP)

Step 13 Open the Terminal program and type the following command:
ssh pi@172.20.10.2 (enter the IP address obtained from the IP Scan above) will prompt you to confirm, enter yes > Enter.
Enter the password: raspberry (the password you'll see is not visible, but type it in and press Enter)

Done. If you successfully enter the code, it will look like this. Note pi@raspberry. That's it, you can connect.

How is it? Easy, right? Who has a problem with any part of this article?
Or if there are other methods, you can comment and talk to each other. See you in the next article. Goodbye.
